September 2010 Inclusion - List of visa documents

Below is a list of documents you will need to obtain before you appear for a September 2010 Visa interview.

*Visas can only be applied for 3 months before the start of the course.
You need 40 points to successfully apply for a UK student visa to study abroad. You must provide the required supporting evidence with your application form.

Complete a course at an acceptable level with an accredited education provider (aka sponsorship)------ 30 credits, Proof required is a Confirmation of Acceptance to Study (CAS Certificate), a reference number provided by your accredited education provider was issued and the documents used to obtain it.

Having enough money to cover your tuition and living expenses (aka alimony) ---- 10 points. Proof needed is a bank statement or letter confirming that you have enough money to cover your tuition and living expenses for a specified period of time.
You must be able to show that the funds were available in your account 28 days prior to the application date.

1) Visa application form VAF3A + Appendix 8
2) CAS letter from the university (CAS letter will not be issued by the university until the offer is unconditional)
Please cross-check the details in your CAS letter with your passport and ensure that the CAS letter reflects the deposit paid to the university for tuition and accommodation (if any).
3) Original academic documents listed in the CAS certificate
4) Valid passport (with a validity of at least 6 months at the time of visa application)
5) Old passport that was canceled and returned (if any)
6) 2 passport photos

• Measure 45mm x 35mm; and
• be in color; and
• taken against a light gray or off-white background; and
• be clear and of good quality; and
• not be framed or backed; and
• not be altered digitally,
• With a full face, no sunglasses, hat or head covering, unless you are wearing them for religious reasons.

The photo you submit will be used on your visa (known as a vignette) affixed to your passport

7) Visa application fees (currently £199) payable in Indian currency either in the form of DD or cash at the VFS counter
8} Bank statements (on bank letterhead, duly signed and stamped by bank on each page) / original savings book
9) Balance confirmation letter from the bank(s)
10) Unconditional Education Loan Sanction Letter (showing funds are ready for disbursement or partial/full disbursement already made)
11) Original bank FD receipts + covering letter from the bank stating that the FDs are redeemable at any time upon request
12) IPC Trusted Student Agent Checklist
13) Email confirmation of visa application appointment.
